OUR CORE VALUES

01
Black History is American History
American history is incomplete if it ignores the experiences of Black Americans. We collect a wealth of information about our shared American story.
02
Intergenerational In Practice
Through intentional programming, we bridge the past with the present, while creating stronger, more connected intergenerational communities.
03
Anyone can be a researcher
Zora Neale Hurston said, “Research is formalized curiosity”. We provide you with more than a century of stories to feed and nurture your curiosity.
04
Each One, Teach One
It’s imperative that as we learn, we share new skills and information with our community through out-of-school learning opportunities.
